Find Your Calling
色中色 (SCC) is proud to have been training competent, compassionate, and confident nurses for over 50 years. This history illustrates the Nursing Program's commitment to excellence throughout student classroom, lab, and clinical experiences.
A Professional Nursing, Associate of Science Degree will prepare a student to work in long term care, treatment service facilities, clinics, assisted living, home care, and acute care facilities. The 64 credit degree is approved by Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State), the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), and the Minnesota Board of Nursing (MBON).
The LPN to RN Plan is for the current LPN who is working towards an Associate of Science in Nursing Degree. Participants will be granted advanced standing and start their first semester with a 4-credit transition course (NURS 2200, LPN to RN Role Transition) to establish foundations to the RN role. Additionally, returning LPNs will follow an adjusted Professional Nursing Degree plan with advanced standing of 4 credits for your previous nursing education.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for the registered nurse (NCLEX - RN).
Students earning a Professional Nursing Degree may transfer credits to a four-year institution to work towards a bachelor鈥檚 degree in nursing.
