Dedicated to Patient Care
As a Medical Assistant, you will be a professional dedicated to assisting in patient care management. Your duties are varied and include greeting patients, updating and filling patient medical records, filling out insurance forms, scheduling appointments and arranging admission and laboratory services. You will also be classified as an allied health practitioner working in any of a number of different medical facilities.

Transfer Options
Once you have finished your associate of applied science Medical Assistant degree, an established transfer agreement allows you to apply your SCC credits toward a bachelor of applied science degree in healthcare leadership and administration at Winona State University.
Through a partnership with Winona State University (WSU), SCC Medical Assisting students can pursue their AAS degree at SCC while simultaneously preparing to transfer upon graduation to WSU鈥檚 Healthcare Leadership and Administration BAS degree program, which is entirely online.
