Veteran Services and Education Benefits
Whether you are currently serving or separated from the services, you may be eligible for certain education benefits. Education benefits will vary depending on your branch of service, length, and type of service and current military status. Education benefits may only be used to pay for courses that are required by your program.
The Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) program pays the cost of tuition and some additional fees. Nearly all Active Duty, Reserve or Guard members are eligible for FTA. However, each service branch determines eligibility criteria. FTA covers up to 100% tuition and fees, not to exceed $250 per semester credit hour or $4,000 per fiscal year, with a maximum of 16 credits.
All active duty service members (including Guard and Reserve) must contact their Education Service Office (ESO) or Education Counselor within your branch of service prior to enrolling in any college or university.

Military Tuition Assistance Return Unearned Funds
色中色 has a policy that returns any unearned tuition assistance (TA) funds on a proportional basis through the period for which the funds were provided to the military Service Branch.
Schedule of Tuition Refund is as follows:
- 17-Week Course: withdrawal submitted
- Before or during weeks 1-2 100% return
- During weeks 3-4 75% return During weeks 5-8 50% return
- During weeks 9-10 40% return (60% of course is completed)
- During weeks 11-17 0% return
For courses that have durations differing from those listed above: Unearned TA funds will be returned on a prorated basis, depending on the length of the course. To determine the amount of TA that needs to be returned, the institution will determine the date the withdrawal was submitted, and then divide that by the number of days in the term to determine the percentage of TA that was earned by the student.

Special provisions are available to military personnel called to active duty while attending college. Options include: (1) Full refund of tuition; (2) grade of incomplete with opportunity to complete coursework through independent study or by retaking the course at no charge; or (3) grade of C or better if warranted by coursework completed prior to departure.
