General admission requirements for all prospective students:

  • The applicant has a high school diploma  (Domestic or Foreign), GED certificate, or 2-year degree or higher from a nationally accredited college that will transfer to a University OR
  • The applicant, who has neither a high school diploma (Domestic or Foreign) nor a GED certificate demonstrates the potential for being a successful college student, at the discretion of the college. This may require that you take an Ability to Benefit exam which must be scheduled with the Director of Admissions in advance of the date you intend to take the exam.  Financial Aid may or may not be available for students without a high school diploma or GED.
If you have already applied and been accepted please read the Next Steps After Admission Page.

Lack of English skills will not be a barrier to admission or participation.  In order to eliminate barriers, we take appropriate measures to assess each student's ability to participate and benefit through placement testing and counseling.  Based on the assessment and counseling, students are then provided with campus services or a referral to community services to be better prepared for successful participation.

Admission to the college does not automatically qualify a student for all courses and/or programs of study or majors.  If you are not sure what type of student you can review the definitions of the terms below.
