This Associate of Arts (AA) program provides a strong foundation in literature, creative writing, and communication — preparing you for diverse careers in education, publishing, journalism, content marketing, and more. Complete your associate degree at SCC, then smoothly transfer to a Minnesota State university as a junior to finish your bachelor’s degree in English.

General Education and Transfer Option Programs

Starting your college education at É«ÖÐÉ« is an easy way to benefit from smaller class sizes with expert instructors and save money. Learn more about É«ÖÐÉ«'s affordability on the Paying for College page. 

If you complete a Transfer Pathways program at É«ÖÐÉ« and are admitted to a Minnesota State university, you will be guaranteed junior status and all 60 associate degree credits will count toward the related bachelor’s degree. Students must meet program admission requirements at the four year institution.  Talk with an SCC advisor for details.
