People to Jobs
VINE coordinates employment and employment-related transportation for single parents, refugees, and other low-income workers. Transporting the young children of low-income workers to daycare when their parents go to work is an important part of the service provided. People to Jobs is a six-month transitional program designed as a stepping stone to allow workers time to develop more permanent transportation solutions. Fares from riders cover a portion of the cost.

Wheel Get There
MVAC鈥檚 Wheel Get There program accepts donated cars from the public and sells them to low-income people at a discount. Most cars sell for between $400 and $700. (Tax, license, and transfer fees can add as much as $115). To qualify, you must be over 18, reside in the nine-county area served by MVAC (Blue Earth, Brown, Le Sueur, Faribault, Martin, Sibley, Nicollet, Waseca, Watonwan counties) and be low-income. Cars usually sell within one to two days, (sometimes within two hours) so what we have changes from day-to-day.
Simply call 507-345-0446 to find out what we have for cars. If one interests you, make an appointment to come and test-drive the car. If it will work for you, pay for the car, provide proof of insurance, sign paper work to transfer the car, verify income eligibility, and drive away.
