CWE trainers are capable of training to all response levels:
- First Responder Awareness: Those likely to witness a substance release and are responsible for initiating emergency response by notifying the proper personnel.
- First Responder Operations: Those who respond to releases for the purpose of protecting nearby persons, property, or environment by employing defensive actions while not actually stopping the release.
- Hazardous Materials Technician: Those who respond to releases with the sole purpose of stopping the release. A much more aggressive and offensive role involving approaching the point of release in order to stop the release.
